eventful 2 days !yesterday went to celebrate ah ping's birthday at kbox, followed by dinner at pepper lunch. kbox was quite a let down though we had fun otherwise.first they cut short our timing from 7 or so to 5.30.and the person kept making us leave.but i dont understand.u know they said they would let us extend if there was no demand for our room.but they just kept asking us to leave (and i realised there was no queue outside at the counter either).and we still paid the same. blah. and then the service was just horrendous.the ah-ping-thought-was-a-man woman didnt refill our nuts for us even after we called 3 times or more.and then when she came to chase us out we told her no one refilled our nuts.and then she said 'if you want u can have a can, at 15 dollars.' *bish.what kind of service is that.and i thought they were having extra emphasis on GEMS and what nots.someone should go survey the kbox at cineleisure.and if they are short of staff, for goodness sake employ more.we cant do anythng by '体谅'-ing you, miss ah-ping-thought-was-a-man. and some guy in the lift called us f*ckers and pointed the middle finger at us.well.too bad even by doing that he's still ugly and wearing that disgusting little blue singlet of his.it doesnt change facts does it? then we went to take neoprints.
i coloured the last one cos it's smaller =p yay they turned out nice.except we didnt understand what they wanted us to choose still.but now we know better right? =p and then dinner at pepper lunch.first time there.i guess it was all right cooking the beef rice and all that.haha.and then chocolate fondue at paragon.i just realised i dont even know the name of that place.haha.with the nice music from the watch gallery occuring floors below us. went to east coast today to blade with cheryl and oslyn.it's been 2-3 months since we met ! and it was fun.though i fell lyk a million times and was screaming away(i already expected and warned them about it).haha.luckily there's them to pull me along since im the lousiest.so we didnt end up as slow as some guys learning on their own.haha.the humps scare me. hope my butt wont be aching from all the falling tml. forgot to mention.my mom was utterly cranky ytd.we havent spoken much today either.mebbe cos ive been out almost the whole day.which is good thing.well i saved $11.50 not buying her a hilton 伍仁 mooncake.that can only benefit me =p eliz shared a cookie at Wednesday, September 20, 2006

no sch today ! i deserve a break =poh gosh it's been a crazy 3 days of exams.i dunno how im gonna do for everythng. gp- the essay was terrible.and the compre too.i didnt have time to complete aq again.and i left one vocab blank, 'practised'.sheesh. econs (3)- eh, i only studied for one day so i dont expect much.but surprisingly i wrote much faster than i thought i would.i wrote what makes sense to me.hope it makes sense to the markers too. chem (3)- 10 qns=100marks in 2h45mins.it's insane.luckily ionic eqm was an either/or qn.and i realised i read lotsa things wrongly.lyk for the first qn, i read 'electrolyte' as 'electrode'.so i wrote platinum.and i used the wrong formula to find Hf and S.supposed to be 'product-reactant' and i dunno why i used 'reactant-product' instead.and so that whole question on thermody is gone gone goneeeeeee. bio (2)- i didnt know there was gonna be essays too ! well there was loads of stuff to answer and all in 2h ! i didnt finish two parts of essays.left a 6 mark one totally blank.and the other half completed.and oh gosh.i dunno how im gonna do for the rest too. math (1)- ahhhhhhhhh.im gonna be murdered.i didnt have any time to go back and try those which i couldnt do.and i left millions blank.i dont even wanna think about it.mebbe i shld postpone tonite's tuition session. eliz shared a cookie at Sunday, September 10, 2006

Crocodile hunter Irwin : Passionate showman in the wildby Marc Lavine 1 hour, 39 minutes ago SYDNEY (AFP) - Iconic Aussie wildlife daredevil Steve Irwin has died as he loved living: seeking out the world's most dangerous and exotic creatures in their own domain. But, in a strange twist, it was one of the less dangerous creatures that he has confronted that ultimately claimed his life. The ebullient environmentalist, one of Australia's best known exports, was killed when he was lashed in the chest by a stingray's poison barb while filming underwater on the Great Barrier Reef on Monday. "We have probably lost one of the most passionate wildlife people on this earth," said Irwin's producer John Stainton, who was filming with Irwin when his heart was pierced by the stingray's venomous tail. Irwin's overflowing passion for animals, reptiles, fish and other creatures -- however deadly they might have been -- was a lifelong affair that made him a household name across the world. His infectious enthusiasm and natural showmanship grew out of a childhood spent at the small reptile park started by his parents in Queensland, northeastern Australia, where he learned his love for creepy crawlies. Born Stephen Robert Irwin in the southern city of Melbourne in 1962, the future "Crocodile Hunter" was exposed to such creatures from the earliest age by his reptile-enthusiast plumber father Bob and mum Lyn. When Irwin was eight, his family moved to Queensland to launch a reptile park at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast, where he helped care for and feed the slithering menagerie which he soon adopted. He would spend his spare time catching fish and hunting rodents to feed to his 3.6-meter (12-foot) pet python and his crocodiles. Irwin's father taught him the ropes, even training him to jump into rivers in the region to catch crocodiles at night with his bare hands, an antic that would become one of Irwin's signature moves when he became a global television star. As an adult, Irwin launched into the crocodile trapping business in areas of Queensland where the beasts were troubling residents, and in 1991 he took over the family business which he would turn into a global attraction. Fate took a hand in Irwin's fortunes in 1991, when he ran into an old friend and television producer, Stainton, who oversaw the making of Irwin's first documentary, "The Crocodile Hunter", in 1992. The show depicted the crocodile-trapping honeymoon of Irwin and his new American bride Terri Raines, who he had met at the park, and it turned Irwin into a TV personality. Over the next 15 years, Irwin would make more than 70 one-hour episodes of his unusual wildlife documentary series, as well as scores of other shows with titles such as "Croc Files" and "Croc Diaries". The unusual mix of Irwin's boundless enthusiasm and apparent fearlessness while getting close up and personal with terrifying creatures turned him into a star, notably in the United States where he is the subject of countless impersonation acts. But his passion for promoting environmentalism and educating children in the ways of the wild had got Irwin into trouble as well as making him legions of fans. In 2004, the father-of-two became the focus of a public firestorm when he fed a chicken to a hungry crocodile while holding his one-year-old son Bob in his other arm. Irwin hit back at critics, saying the child was in no danger and insisted that he would continue such antics if they taught children about wildlife. His eight-year-old daughter Bindi looks set to follow in her dad's footsteps. "When I was a very small boy, my dad did the same for me," he retorted.
