F1 Singapore Grand Prix!woohoo so i mananged to go on sat cos there was this guy in china who couldnt get his visa in time, so yup my dad managed to get an extra ticket from the host. heh i think that guy must have owed me something in his past life :p so we got to enjoy the luxurious paddock club views !
the very nicely packaged ticket which i didnt feel like ripping open. the nice landyard is mine to keep :)
 the first event when we got there was the bmw qualifiers, around 4.30pm. before that we were hanging out at the paddock club lifestyle area, with freeflow alcohol, food and haagen daz ice cream :)  porsche carrera race, and somehow there's one with a singapore flag on it.  just outside the paddock area, free seating and good views :) more free alcohol hhaah.  and finally it gets dark ! this is after dinner, where i think it was the time trials. the cars are too fast for the camera :p  and the pit-walk, where we only managed to get a glimpse of the mclaren pit-stop cos there were just too many ppl and police pushing us back.  and yup, the cars in the qualifying round. i cant even match who's who, but i know the mclaren one had lewis hamilton in it hahaah. and what an unexpected turn of events yesterday, with massa moving off too fast and kimi crashing when there were just 4 laps to go. and alonso, whose engine failed him during the qualifying rounds on sat thus causing him to start in 15th place, unexpectedly took the first position. and massa who started from pole position ended up last. oh well. i think after going this time im beginning to reallie feel what f1 is all about haaha. eliz shared a cookie at Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Gluttony; and the weekendjo and i finally went to carousel for their high tea. though i went like last week and kinda expected the same food again. but this time we started with dessert ! hahah cos i always felt that after all the mains i couldnt actually eat as much dessert as i hoped. but i kinda felt sick after the tons of cakes and chocolate. too sweet ! pictures !  cakes, mousse, puddings and stuff. i think they are okay, but too sweet at the end of the day. now i see why dessert needs to be the last course.  me me ! i think im looking more and more tired, omg.  the mains. my fabulous SALMON SASHIMI! :D cant do without it. pie-tea, laksa and kebab.  dessert round II. we sure were stuffed.  and us, happy and horribly full. RANDOMNESS - snippets of my lifei think this post is very much jo's style haha but this is what happens when you are bored ( and tired) in school.  marketing research - chocolate industry. looks familiar? haaha. one of the many few, but the first of many.  high tea at carousel (will be going again !) last week. marshmallow and grape fondue with sprinkles. hahah i ate alot of dessert. i think i will again.  my name in icing. that icing's from england ! haha and no we dont use it for anything else. just writing (on my hand). .jpg) my fav ! baby ball biscuits. some ppl think it's too kiddish haah but oh well i like ! this was taken when i was still at singtel. see how long ago that was?  peach melba - ice cream with canned peach and strawberry sauce at Fosters. i love their scones :) im tired ! time to nap before class. thank goodness ma quiz is over. my week has been pretty unpredictable so far, think it's only gonna continue like that. eliz shared a cookie at Saturday, September 06, 2008

week 3 of school ! things are piling up for sure. and gsrs have to start being booked. sigh. was cracking my head over the cat hw over the weekend, esp this question:Averosas are a new breed of small, furry animal that resemble guinea pigs. They are becoming all the rage as pets. You have decided to earn some extra money by raising aversosas in your room. For Christmas you ask Santa Claus to help you out. You must have been good this year because sure enough on Christmas morning under the Christmas tree there is a one-month-old male aversosa and a one-month-old female averosa in a cage. Averosas are quite prolific, and predictably so. They have their first litter at six months of age. Every three months from then on, each female has a litter of on average four baby aversosas (assume two males and two females). Of course, these babies will go through the same breeding cycle. At the end of each quarter (three months) you plan to sell all the aversosas that have reach two years of age to the local pet stores. This is how you will make your fortune. You won't have any expense because your roommate works in a restaurant and you figure your roommate can bring home the leftovers from the salad bar to feed the animals. This sounds like a great scheme but your roommate would like to know (1) how many averosas will be born in your room each quarter and, more important, (2) how many averosas will be living in the room each quarter! You would like to know (3) how many averosas you'll be able to sell at the end of each quarter so you can plan what to do with all the money you'll earn. Incidentally, your roommate will be (somewhat) relieved to learn that averosas don't smell too bad if their cages are cleaned often. Set up an Excel model to answer these questions. Assume you will have the averosa colony for the next five years. Of course you will use the Fill operation whereever possible. Use several columns. Label all columns clearly. Assume the quarter ends at Jan 1, Apr 1, July 1, and Oct 1. Assuming everything goes as planned, what is the total number of averosas you will have owned during the five years? What is the maximum number of averosas that will be in your room at any one time? How long will it be before your roommate leaves? ugh right. imagine solving that using excel. double trouble. went bowling at raffles marina over the weekend. i dunno how i managed to do it, but somehow i swung the ball into my right knee so yeah there's a nice bruise there now. oh and i finally bought myself the nike bottle and IT DOESNT LEAK. hurray ! i dont mind investing in a good not leaking bottle, but it's never guaranteed that it wont leak even if they said it wont. it's always a risk hahaha. my sisters are having their september hols now, so jealous ! but i have no school tml hurray ! :D eliz shared a cookie at |
